Birthdays, football, and Gangsters
I turned 20 on Friday. That was exciting or maybe it wasn't. I haven't really decided yet. I have decided, however, that I will call my new age twenty-teen. I figure that it will make me feel less grown up.
The birthday celebration was fun. It could have been better, but the OU vs. Texass game was on Saturday (more on that later). Hence, everyone was gone. Even my cute boy who called me about 7 times that night to tell me happy birthday was gone. Deep Ellum must have been really fun that night. I'm excited about the fact that my 21st birthday will be on OU vs Texass, and I will be able to go down there and have fun in Deep Ellum. Anyhoo, the Birthday was fun until we left the place we were at and ended up at a house full of people who were not of our race. I'm totally not against them until there are about 20 of them against me. There was tension the moment we walked into the door. The tension got worse when I was asked the question, "Do you find black people attractive?"
This is where my habitual I-say-what-I'm-thinking-at-all-times thing is bad; very bad actually because I said no so fast it didn't even register. It was not until I read some book about Mackin' by some guy whose a Mack that i even realized what the crap "they" were even saying to me when "they" were trying to hit on me. "They" have a strange way of hitting on girls that I had only figured out because my mom instisted on buying the book and having me read it out loud. Thank God I did because when I asked "one of them" what he was doing with his life he said, "I'm stackin' my papers."
That means he's making money, but he never said how he was doing it. I didn't really want to know anyway. So, after I blurted out the whole thing about me not being attracted to "them," "they" got really angry. There was nothing I could do about it because I wasn't lying, and I wasn't going to take it back. So, we left. Ok, I'm totally lying. They told us to leave because we were on different levels. Something about killing or being killed. I don't really know, but we basically ran the hell out of there.
On top of all that bullshit, the football game sucked. I'm not even going to talk much about it because it hurts too bad. But shit Bomar took some hits! Good Lord I think he has to have some broken ribs or something!! That's all I can say other than Texas sucked way better than we did on Saturday. 12-44......wtf....
